Caster wheel assembly for Raymond lift trucks, carrying part of the truck weight and stabilizing it through turns and over uneven floors. Its wheel and bearing pick up wear and floor debris, developing flat spots, noise, or wobble that the replacement clears.
The wheel and its mounting arrive as one caster assembly, ready to install at the caster end of a Raymond lift truck in place of a worn unit. At about 18 pounds, it supports the caster end of the truck, rolling along the floor to carry part of the machine's weight and take the side loads of turning and maneuvering.
A caster wheel runs against the warehouse floor through every shift, so its tread wears down and its bearing loosens over time. Once the wheel develops flats, the tread breaks down, or the bearing plays, ride and handling suffer and the assembly is due for replacement.
Supplied complete, it saves piecing together a wheel, bearing, and mount separately. When ordering, match the wheel diameter, the tread width, and the mounting or bore configuration to the caster coming off, since those dimensions govern whether the assembly bolts up and rolls true on the truck.
