Caster wheel assembly for material handling lift trucks, carrying part of the truck weight and stabilizing it through turns and over uneven floors. Its wheel and bearing pick up wear and floor debris, developing flat spots, noise, or wobble that the replacement clears.
The wheel, bearing, and swivel mount arrive as a single caster assembly, ready to bolt on in place of a worn unit rather than rebuilt piece by piece. A caster carries and steers under load, and selling it complete means the tread, the wheel bearing, and the mounting come matched and set to their correct tolerances out of the box.
A caster is a wear unit. The tread rounds off and flat-spots with use, the wheel bearing develops play or seizes, and the swivel raceway loosens until the unit no longer rolls or pivots cleanly, which is the point at which the whole assembly gets replaced rather than serviced. Fitting a fresh assembly restores smooth rolling and clean pivoting in one step.
Match the top-plate bolt pattern and the wheel diameter to the caster coming off, since the plate has to line up with the existing holes and the wheel has to clear the same swing radius in its mounting.
