The load wheel carrier plate is the structural bracket that mounts a load wheel to the underframe of Raymond electric lift trucks, holding the wheel and its bearings in position at the end of the load-supporting legs. It carries the vertical load coming down through the wheel and feeds it into the truck frame, keeping the axle square so the wheel tracks straight and the tire wears evenly. Machined and drilled to locate the wheel precisely, a sound carrier plate maintains alignment through the pounding of dock work, while a bent or elongated plate lets the wheel cant and wear one-sided.
