Thombert builds this 12 inch press-on forklift tire as a solid polyurethane replacement for the electric lift trucks it serves, sized at 12 inches outside diameter and 4.5 inches across the tread on an 8 inch inside mounting diameter. Polyurethane bonded to a steel press-on band gives a non-pneumatic tire that carries rated load without the puncture and flat-spot risk of an air tire, and it holds its shape through the turning and cornering of daily warehouse work.
Mounting is a hydraulic interference fit, with the 8 inch bore holding the tire on the wheel once pressed. Thombert documents the tire to Crown, Hyster, Raymond, Toyota, Unicarriers, and Yale electric lift trucks, so a single part covers a wide mixed fleet. Because the tire seats by press fit, the bore must match the wheel it mounts on; measure the band diameter on the wheel being reused before pressing this one on, since a bore that does not match will not seat. Smooth tread keeps an even contact patch across the 4.5 inch width as the tire wears through its service life.
