Raymond Gear – RA410-027-03

Each tooth on this Raymond gear transfers load as the set turns, carrying power through the transmission and drive assembly of the lift truck it runs in. The gear meshes with its mating gears to move drive-train power from one shaft to the next, and the accuracy of its tooth profile is what keeps that transfer smooth and quiet through repeated start and stop cycles. Hardened tooth surfaces let it carry that load without the rapid wear a softer gear would show.

Because the gears in a set share load through their teeth, a single worn, chipped, or damaged tooth passes uneven stress to the gears meshing with it, so replacing a compromised gear protects the wider assembly rather than just the one part. A gear showing pitting, chipped teeth, or a worn profile is one to replace before that damage spreads through the set.

Built by Raymond for its lift trucks, it reproduces the tooth count, profile, and bore of the gear it replaces. Match the tooth count, the bore and any keyway or spline, and the tooth profile to the gear coming out, since gears that look alike can differ in these and will not mesh or seat correctly if they do not match.
