250′ Leaf Chain RA/HY/YT – SYCHBL644-250

Sold as a 250 foot reel, this BL644 leaf chain is the flat, riveted lift chain that runs over the mast sheaves to raise and lower the load carriage on a forklift upright. Leaf chain carries the lift load in tension through stacked steel link plates joined by pins, and its BL644 designation sets the pitch and the plate lacing, a six-by-four link arrangement, that determine its load rating and how it seats on the sheave.

Supplied in bulk length, the reel lets a shop cut chain to the exact run a mast requires rather than stocking fixed assemblies. Leaf chain is a critical wear item: as the pins and plates wear, the chain elongates, which throws off lift synchronization and eventually calls for replacement before stretch reaches its wear limit.

Match the chain pitch and lacing to the chain being replaced, since leaf chains of different pitch and plate count look similar but are not interchangeable on the sheave.
