Thombert builds this polyurethane press-on tire to a 13.5 inch outside diameter, 6 inches wide, on a 10.5 inch mounting bore that sets the interference fit onto the wheel. The polyurethane tread is bonded to a steel press-on band, a construction that carries heavy static and rolling loads while resisting the cuts and chunking that retire a softer tire, holding its shape through the start, stop, and turning cycles an electric lift truck runs through every shift.
The smooth tread runs clean on finished indoor floors, and at 24 pounds the tire is sized for a mid-range truck. It seats by hydraulic press, driving the bonded band onto the wheel under interference so the two turn as one piece with no fasteners to loosen. This Thombert tire is documented to fit Crown, MCFA, and Raymond lift trucks.
Match the mounting bore to the wheel diameter before pressing the tire on, since a press-on tire holds only by interference and will not stay seated on a wheel cut to a different size. Forklifts Etc. carries this tire as a direct replacement for the worn press-on it takes off.
