Machined to close tolerances with a consistent bearing surface, this Raymond shaft serves as a pivot or axle in the running gear and linkage of Raymond electric lift trucks. It supports a rotating or articulating assembly and transfers load between mating parts while holding them in true alignment through operation.

The finished bearing surface lets bushings, bearings, and hardware locate accurately and move freely through repeated cycles. Over a service life those surfaces wear, and a shaft that is scored, worn, or bent introduces play and misalignment into whatever turns or pivots on it. Fitting a fresh shaft removes that play and restores smooth, precise motion.

Match the overall length, diameter, and the keyways, splines, or retaining features at each end against the shaft being replaced, since these determine whether the mating parts seat and locate correctly.
