Squeegee blade for Tennant floor scrubbers, the rubber blade that wipes and channels water off the floor behind the machine so it dries clean. The blade edge nicks and wears round with use; replace it when it streaks, leaves water behind, or no longer wipes the floor dry.
Molded from Linatex abrasion-resistant natural rubber, this side brush squeegee blade holds its wiping edge against the grit and debris a sweeping brush throws at it. It mounts on the side-brush assembly of Tennant floor scrubbers, where the side brush pulls water and debris in from along walls and edges, and the squeegee's job is to wipe and contain that spray so it stays inside the cleaning path instead of slinging out across the floor.
Natural rubber is chosen here for its resilience and abrasion resistance, keeping a clean wiping edge under the constant contact and grit of a sweeping cycle. Like any squeegee, it is a wear item. The edge gradually rounds over and nicks with use until it stops wiping cleanly and begins leaving streaks or letting debris escape the side brush, which is the point to replace it.
Swapping in a fresh blade restores full containment at the side brush and keeps the machine picking up cleanly along its edges. Forklifts Etc. carries it as the Tennant Linatex side brush squeegee blade.
