Raymond Insulator – RA7-861-002-004

Installed in the electrical system of a Raymond lift truck, this insulator isolates current-carrying components from the surrounding chassis and hardware, holding the conductor away from ground so current follows its intended path instead of arcing or shorting to the frame. Made from a non-conductive material, it both supports the component mechanically and blocks the electrical path to adjacent metal.

An insulator that cracks, chars, or absorbs contamination loses its dielectric strength, which can let current leak to the chassis and cause shorts, blown protection, or erratic electrical behavior. Replacing a degraded insulator restores the barrier between the live component and the truck structure.

It installs as a direct replacement for the original Raymond insulator at its mounting position. Match its size and mounting to the part coming off, since the insulator must hold the same component in the same place to keep the clearance the design relies on.
