Crown Drive Hub 10.5 Inch – CR140692

Crown machines this drive wheel hub at 10.5 inches outside diameter and 7 inches wide on a 5-bolt pattern, sized to accept a 16 by 7 by 10.5 inch press-on cushion tire. It is the metal wheel structure that the tire presses onto and that in turn mounts to the truck's drive axle, carrying both the truck's weight and the torque the drive motor applies through that wheel.

Crown lists compatibility with the RC 5500. At roughly 58 pounds, this is a substantial machined component built to handle the combined structural and drive loads a forklift's drive wheel sees continuously during operation.

The hub is supplied on its own, without a tire mounted, so a compatible press-on tire in the 16 by 7 by 10.5 inch size is needed to complete the wheel. The tire is pressed onto the hub under hydraulic force during assembly. A hub is replaced when the bolt holes elongate, the tire seat is damaged, or the machined surfaces no longer hold a pressed tire securely.
