Bearing Tapered Roller – BR-2520

A tapered roller bearing carries both radial and thrust load at once, its cone-shaped rollers running on angled races so it handles the combined side and downward forces a load wheel or hub sees in service. That dual-load capacity is why tapered rollers are used where a straight ball bearing would not survive, at wheel ends and axles that take weight and cornering force together.

Set in place as a cup-and-cone pair, the bearing is preloaded to a specified clearance so it runs tight without binding; as it wears, that clearance opens into play, roughness, and heat. This is a load wheel bearing of the tapered roller type. Match the bore, outside diameter, and width to the bearing being replaced, since tapered roller bearings of similar appearance come in many sizes and a wheel bearing has to match its race and shaft exactly.
