The Toyota Aisan Model-SC LPG regulator and converter is a coolant-heated unit that vaporizes liquid propane and regulates its delivery pressure to the 4Y propane engine in Toyota lift trucks. Engine coolant heats the converter to boil the liquid propane, and the regulator meters vapor to the fuel system so the engine starts and runs on LP gas.
It fits Toyota 8-series trucks including the 8FGCU20 through 32 and 8FGU15 through 32. The Model-SC casting is rated 250 psi working pressure and carries an electric lock-off, a pressure-adjustment screw, and a drain valve, with an identification tag stamped 30L90. A converter is a wear item: its diaphragms and seats harden and foul over time, causing hard starting and rough running. Replacing it restores clean fuel delivery. Forklifts Etc. supplies it as the Toyota 4Y LPG regulator and converter.
