LP vaporizer and pressure regulator for Toyota lift trucks, converting liquid propane to vapor at the pressure the engine needs. Engine coolant warms the unit to boil the liquid propane, and a failed vaporizer causes hard starting, stalling, or poor running.
The Toyota LPG regulator and converter for the 4Y propane engine is an Aisan Model-C coolant-heated unit that vaporizes liquid propane and regulates its delivery pressure to the engine. Engine coolant heats the converter to boil the incoming liquid propane, and the regulator meters the vapor to the pressure the fuel system needs so the engine starts and runs on LP gas.
It fits Toyota 7 and 8 series trucks including the 8FGU20 through 32 and 8FGCU20 through 32, all on the 4Y engine, and carries an identification tag stamped 30K00 or 30M40. A converter is a wear item: its diaphragms and seats harden and foul over time, causing hard starting and rough running. Replacing it restores clean fuel delivery. Forklifts Etc. supplies it as the Toyota 4Y LPG regulator and converter.
