Bearing – RA460-616

Supporting a rotating shaft in the transmission and drive assembly of a Raymond lift truck, this bearing carries load while letting the shaft turn freely, holding it in alignment against the radial and thrust forces the drivetrain puts through it. It is the part that keeps the shaft running true under the load of daily operation.

A bearing in this position is a wear item. As it ages it develops play, runs rough, or grows noisy, and each of those is a sign it is nearing the end of its service life. Left in place, a failing bearing lets the shaft wander and can damage the surrounding drivetrain, so it is replaced at the first signs rather than run to failure.

As a genuine Raymond part, it replaces the original bearing in its housing; match the bore, outside diameter, width, and seal or shield type to the bearing coming out, since bearings that share a bore can differ in these and only the right combination seats and seals correctly.
